This is what Jason prepared for us to share prior to exchanging Christmas gifts and prior to going to the concert! Truly amazing and very thoughtful! Thank you, Jason!

This is where I got to see Mannheim Steamroller with my oldest son. I had a 30-minute notice that I was going to see a group that has been one of my very favorites for a long time. I've lived in Oklahoma almost 20 years, and I don't think I ever saw this building until today. I had the most amazing time! What a wonderful Christmas present! I'm so happy! Thank you, Jason!

Today was one of the best days of my life. My oldest son was out of the country on Christmas Day, so we celebrated today. He gave me a wonderful gift and an equally wonderful Christmas card. When I opened the card, there was a ticket to see Mannheim Steamroller, at the Oklahoma City Civic Center. I asked him if he got a ticket for himself, and he did. I then asked, "When is this?" He said something like, "We will be leaving in 30 minutes!" It was like a dream. I was so excited! I got to sit on the front row, in the center, and watch one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen, by a group I have liked for a very long time. Afterwards, he treated me to the most amazing dinner and conversation at one of his favorite restaurants, Ludivine. I am so blessed and so happy! Thank you, God! Thank you, Jason!

This is my favorite song being played on K-Love right now. The words, "How many times have you given me strength to just keep breathing," are special to me because I have had moments just like that. Thank you, God, for seeing me through. Thank you for this great life I get to live.

I began listening to the K-LOVE radio station in April of 2001. It was during a time of pain and brokenness. This is the station I listen to all the time. Today, K-LOVE celebrates 30 years of being on the air. This is the very first song played that day, 30 years ago.

I've been thinking about something on my "Bucket List." One of the things on my list is to someday dance with a very special man to "Wonder of You," by Elvis Presley and "Wonderful Tonight," by Eric Clapton. I have the music...but not the guy. So, I've been thinking about something. In the movie, "The Bucket List," Jack Nicholson wanted “to kiss the most beautiful woman in the world.” The most beautiful woman in the world turned out to be his granddaughter. Sometimes, I think the very special man I may end up dancing with will be one of my sons. I think that would work! ♥

A comment one of my girlfriends made, about the Beth Moore video I posted today , made me think of this song:

http://youtu.be/HttGLvjh8_8 "I Have to Believe" - Rita Springer
This is such an encouraging word. ~ "If you are going through something hard, that He has purposed for you, He has something HUGE to bring from it." - Beth Moore
"If He has allowed you to go through a deep, sorrowful season of your life, where you are challenged to sow the seed in a time of tears, and you have asked to be delivered, you have asked it to be taken from you, and you still got it...let me tell you something...something so big is going on, something so huge, that there is glory at stake."-Beth Moore

Last night, one of my Facebook friends posted that he saw the legendary Al Green perform at an outdoor concert in Buckhead, GA (North Atlanta). I thought, "Wow!" I love Al Green! I know this sounds corny, but...when I go back to Cincinnati to visit my brothers and sisters...one of my brothers (who is also my best friend) pulls out some Al Green for me. And I always end up singing and dancing around the room to "Let's Stay Together." :)

Last night, I was struggling because of the sadness and pain I was feeling for some very special people I am close to. Two special women prayed for me. Then, later in the evening, my neighbor-girlfriend came over with a vanilla shake. :) We visited for a while. It's just what I needed. Then, today, as I awoke, these words were playing in my mind..."Let faith arise, let faith arise. I lift my hands to believe again. You are my refuge, You are my strength. As I pour out my heart these things, I remember. You are faithful, God, forever." I believe You, God. I trust You. ♥

This morning, while getting ready and listening to K-Love, a woman called in, who was in recovery for drug abuse. She had relapsed after 11 years. She said, in her relapse, she had done all the things that go with that. She asked if they would play this song for her. I felt sad for her. But, I was encouraged because I know that God is always there to welcome us back. ♥

Today, one of my very special Facebook girlfriends thought of me when she posted this song. It was so neat, because just yesterday, I was telling someone about this song and how the church I worship at did a "World Edition" of this song two weekends ago. This is one of my most favorite worship songs and videos, ever! Thanks, Nya. ♥

On April 5th, one of my Facebook friends posted this video clip. In a conversation with my youngest son, Drew, I told him about this. Since I told him about this, I cannot get it out of my mind. Watching it again, this morning, brings tears to my eyes. This is one of the reasons why I love Facebook. ♥

"Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right?

You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period"

For the past couple of days, this song has been playing in my head. I think this song is beautiful. It moves me because it helps me to realize what God has done for me...all because of His love.

Friday, March 16, 2012

Today, one of my Facebook girlfriends posted this song. There was a time, in my life, where I so identified with this song. Life, people, and circumstances were beating me up badly. Then, I heard this song. I realized that I didn't have to always be so strong. I didn't have to hide the tears. I didn't have to hide the pain. I could go out there and fight the good fight...and when I got weary...I could run to my Heavenly Father...rest up...and go out and continue fighting the battle...until God finally gave me the victory!

Saturday, February 18, 2012

February 18, 2012--Today, my oldest son, Jason, invited me out for a spontaneous lunch. We had a good visit. It's hard when your children are going through a hard time. On the way home, this song played on the K-Love radio station, and I was encouraged. Thank you, God, that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Thank you for enabling Jason to persevere. Please love on him, Father. Please bless him and help him in ways that only You can. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

January 14, 2012--I think this is becoming my newest "bestest" song on the K-Love radio station. I find myself singing...

This is not where I belong
Take this world and give me Jesus
This is not where I belong

Friday, January 6, 2012

January 6, 2012--Today, while I was at the clinic I volunteer at, I was walking through a hallway. As I was walking along, I found myself quietly saying, "God, help me. Please help me." Immediately, these words began to play in my mind, and I remembered they are the words from a Fleetwood Mac song!
Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be, better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone

So, now I've been playing this song since I got home. :)
